Main project goals
The overall goal of the project is to upskill unemployed adults or adults in transition towards digital entrepreneurship.
Specific goals
- Provide the necessary skills to become digital entrepreneurs.
- Help learn how to start and develop a successful online business.
- Provide the skills needed to present a business in the online environment.
- Teach the skills needed to sell products and services online.
Main project activities
- DIGITMI Skills Research – An in-depth review of essential digital entrepreneurship skills needed for success in the digital economy.
- Development of DIGITMI micro-learning courses – Creation and delivery of courses designed to fill identified skills gaps in digital entrepreneurship.
- Pilot testing and micro-credential recognition – Pilot testing of developed courses and establishment of micro-credentials that provide recognition of acquired skills.
Project results
- Micro-learning courses on topics such as e-commerce management, social media marketing, SEO positioning, and building a professional website.
- A pilot course phase followed by mentoring sessions where participants are expected to prepare a "digital" business plan.
- A micro-credential recognition scheme through an open badges system.
